Genes controlling fitness of M12 during growth in gallium nitrate. Transposon sequencing was used to track mutants passaged in Davis broth or Davis broth supplemented with 800 µM gallium nitrate. Each dot on the volcano plot represents a gene with log 2 -fold change (reads mapped in no gallium/gallium) on the x -axis and the −log 10 ( P value) on the y -axis.
